Important Tips

After Arrival in Korea

Within 90 days
Register as a foreigner at your local immigration office and get your Alien Registration Card (ARC)
Open bank account
You'll need your ARC to open a Korean bank account
Get phone number
Get a Korean phone number for daily life (requires ARC)
Health insurance
Register for National Health Insurance (mandatory for long-term visa holders)
